At first I had no idea of what to do for our 20% Time project. Then one day I was just thinking, “Band needs music that we already know, so why not start a club?” After that I kept thinking about 20% Time and I just put them together and got an idea of making the Modern Music Club as an after-school activity for my 20% Time project. I knew I couldn’t do it on my own so I asked Olivia and Lily for help. After we talked about a few things, they agreed and so that is how the Modern Music Club came to be.

The purpose of this club is that people will enjoy playing new music that they think is fun or at least more fun than the sheet music that we get in band.  It is also to learn more about what happens backstage when we are not playing. Now, this club is kind of different because we invite not only seventh grade band students, but seventh grade choir and seventh grade orchestra students too!
